Sheerline is delighted to announce updates to its SheerGlide® inline aluminium patio door. This includes the launch of a four-pane option, which is available to order now, and a triple-track option, which is coming soon.
The intention behind the updates is to increase the competitiveness of SheerGlide® within the industry whilst also reflecting the demand for greater choice from fabricators, installers, and homeowners.
Regardless of the size, style, or number of panes, every SheerGlide® benefits from the same innovative single component interlock developed by Sheerline’s in-house R&D team. It is this new in-built technology that enables it to breeze through both thermal and security testing.
Historically, inline sliders have struggled to convincingly achieve both accreditations, but today they are essential due to new rules and regulations as well as demand from consumers. Whilst SheerGlide® is the first product to showcase this technology, it will be used more widely in the future.
Several design elements differentiate SheerGlide® from other inline sliders including simplified manufacturing. This references two distinct aspects; the fabrication, as there are less components compared to a traditional slider, and a kit option.
When customers order a kit, they receive a box that contains everything they need. It’s all in the box; locks, fixings, rollers, and all the lengths are prepped and packed ready to go. 5-day lead times are offered as standard across bar length and kits.
Ben Hartshorn, Sheerline’s Technical and Design Director, commented: “SheerGlide® is proving to be a popular addition to our fully suited range. The thermals and security definitely help it to stand out, but so does our in-house offering.”
“The majority of orders have been powder coated; however, we’ve started receiving more woodgrain foil requests. This highlights how useful this in-house service is as it gives installers another option when they need to match new and existing products,” he added.
Woodgrain foiling is offered by Sheerline on 10-day lead times for stocked colours.
